The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum
The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum (PMMM) is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.
The Museum re-opens for 2018, on Friday 23rd March.
11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm)
Easter – Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday
April & October – Weekends
May to September – Tuesday to Thursday, weekends & Bank Holidays
We’re also open for the following Swanage Railway Galas:
Spring Steam Gala – Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March
Diesel Gala – Friday 11th to Sunday 13th May
Autumn Steam Gala – Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October
The Museum will close for winter on Sunday 28th October 2018.
Entry is FREE, but we rely on your donations, please give at least £1 per person to enable us to keep our museum open. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.
