The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum
The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum (PMMM) is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.
The Museum is open from early April to the end of October. May to September we are open Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. During April and October we are open on Saturday and Sundays only.
Opening hours 11am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
The museum closes for the winter on 30 October 2016 and will reopen early April 2017.
Entry is Free, but we rely on your donations. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.
Our volunteers meet through out the year to carry out a range of tasks, working on the buildings, developing more things to see and do, and working on our collections. If you would like to join us, please get in touch.
