Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum
The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum (PMMM) is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.
The Museum is now closed.
We re-open on Friday 29th March 2019, for Swanage Railway’s Spring Steam Up. We look forward to welcoming you then.
Our opening times* for 2019 are:
11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm)
April – Weekends, plus Good Friday & Easter Monday
May to September – Tuesday to Thursday, weekends & Bank Holidays
October – Weekends
We will also be open for Swanage Railway’s Diesel Gala and Autumn Steam Gala.
The Museum will close for winter on Sunday 27th October 2019.

Entry is FREE, but we rely on your donations, please give at least £1 per person to enable us to keep our museum open. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.
