Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum
The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.
The museum is now closed for winter.

Our 2020 opening times* are:
11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm)
April – Weekends, plus Good Friday & Easter Monday
May to September – Tuesday to Thursday, weekends & Bank Holidays
October – Weekends
We will also be open for Swanage Railway’s Galas.

Entry is FREE. Please donate at least £1 each and help us to care for, explore and celebrate your heritage. Please Gift Aid your donation.
