The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum
The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum (PMMM) is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.
The Museum and underground mine are open on the following days during 2017 from 11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm):
- April – Saturday and Sundays only
- May to September – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
- October – Saturday and Sundays only
Opening hours 11am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
The museum will reopen on Friday 31st March 2017.
Entry is Free, but we rely on your donations. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.
Our volunteers meet through out the year to carry out a range of tasks, working on the buildings, developing more things to see and do, and working on our collections. If you would like to join us, please get in touch.
