The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum

PMMM (Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum)The Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum (PMMM) is dedicated to the history of Purbeck Ball Clay mining, the industrial heritage of Purbeck and the Purbeck narrow gauge railways.

 

The Museum is now open for 2018.

Opening times:

11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm)

April – Weekends
May to September – Tuesday to Thursday, weekends & Bank Holidays
October – Weekends

We’re also open for the following Swanage Railway Gala:

Autumn Steam Gala – Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October

The Museum will close for winter on Sunday 28th October 2018.

Entry is FREE, but we rely on your donations, please give at least £1 per person to enable us to keep our museum open. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.

 

The Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum is situated adjacent to Norden Station and car park, our postcode is BH20 5DW

Our volunteers meet through out the year to carry out a range of tasks, working on the buildings, developing more things to see and do, and working on our collections. If you would like to join us, please get in touch.
