The Museum is located between Wareham and Corfe Castle on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. We are next to Norden Station and car park on the Swanage Railway. Our postcode is BH20 5DW

11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm)
April – Weekends, plus Good Friday & Easter Monday
May to September – Tuesday to Thursday, weekends & Bank Holidays
October – Weekends
We’re also open for Swanage Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th October.
The Museum will close for winter on Sunday 27th October 2019.
Entry is FREE. Please donate at least £1 each and help us to care for, explore and celebrate your heritage. Please Gift Aid your donation.
When we are open, the Swanage Railway will be operating, so why not make a day of it and enjoy a trip on a fabulous steam hauled train?
Access to the site is limited in some areas for wheelchair users, but please contact us for advice as we are making improvements all the time.
The Museum is next to accessible toilets in the Norden car park building and the Buffet on the station platform provides refreshments, sandwiches, cakes and snacks.
Parking is available at Norden ‘pay & display’ car park.
