The Museum is located between Wareham and Corfe Castle, next to Norden Station on the Swanage Railway.
From Friday 31st March the Museum and underground mine are open on the following days during 2017 from 11am to 5pm (last entry 4:30pm):
- April – Saturday and Sundays only
- May to September – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
- October – Saturday and Sundays only
During the Easter holiday period we are open from Friday 14th April to the following Thursday 20th inclusive.
The last opening day this year is Sunday 29 October 2017 the museum will then be closed throughout the winter months.
When we are open, the Swanage Railway will be operating, so why not make a day of it and enjoy a trip on a fabulous steam hauled train?
Entry to the Museum is Free, but we rely on your donations. Please Gift Aid your donation if you can.
Access to the site is limited in some areas for wheelchair users, but please contact us for advice as we are making improvements all the time.
The Museum is adjacent to accessible toilets in the Norden car park building and the Buffet on the station platform provides refreshments, sandwiches, cakes and snacks.
Parking is available at Norden Station. Cars cost £3.20 for a whole day.
